Arrival to Guadalajara/Přílet do Guadalajary
We arrived in Guadalajara early in the morning. A friend picked us up at the airport, and we drove home. I’m staying in a gated residential area, and the only notable things around are highways and a shopping center. It was a bit of a shock at first, but I’m starting to get used to it. When we got home, I had a few hours to rest, and then we headed to a Rotary meeting. It was very formal, and the heat was intense. I met a few people, including my second host family. After returning home, I gave the family some gifts, and we immediately opened the Kofola, which for a moment made me feel like I was back in the Czech Republic. I also taught them how to play the card game "prší," though explaining the rules was quite difficult. In the following days, we hosted a barbecue at our house, where I met friends of my host family, who are also from Costa Rica, and I started to explore the area around my new home and Guadalajara.
