Arrival to Guadalajara/Přílet do Guadalajary

We arrived in Guadalajara early in the morning. A friend picked us up at the airport, and we drove home. I’m staying in a gated residential area, and the only notable things around are highways and a shopping center. It was a bit of a shock at first, but I’m starting to get used to it. When we got home, I had a few hours to rest, and then we headed to a Rotary meeting. It was very formal, and the heat was intense. I met a few people, including my second host family. After returning home, I gave the family some gifts, and we immediately opened the Kofola, which for a moment made me feel like I was back in the Czech Republic. I also taught them how to play the card game "prší," though explaining the rules was quite difficult. In the following days, we hosted a barbecue at our house, where I met friends of my host family, who are also from Costa Rica, and I started to explore the area around my new home and Guadalajara. The arrival/přílet + Ciudad de México

Hello, welcome to my blog, where I will write about my exchange year in Mexico. I departed on 9th August from Prague, from where I flew to Istanbul, where I had my layower. I was unexpectedly mooved to the business class. Thanks to that I had the best flight of my life so far. I arrived to Ciudad de México at 2am, where I got a warm welcome by my host family. While waiting for me, my host parents encountered another host mother from RYE, who was awaiting a girl from germany. From the airport we went straight to Airbnb, where we chit-chat for a while and then we went to sleep. I slept pretty long time despite having a good sleep on the plane. In the late morning we left for Cojoacán, which is famous part of Ciudad de México, where their sacred animal is wolf. We got there by metro, which was only 6 pessos per person(8czk).
